Set up of Google Search Console (formerly known as Webmaster Tools)

Google Search Console notifies you of crawl errors, server down time and code improvements

Set up & submission of a sitemap file

This helps search engines to crawl the site and get notified of content updates

This helps search engines to find important files, such as the sitemap.

.htaccess configuration

Block spam crawlers (includes latest blacklist for bot and malware blocking), improve site speed and assist with the sanitising of urls and redirects.

Website guidance

Advice by email/phone on site improvements, new functionality (within reason).

Daily site backups

Database & file backups are extremely helpful. If the site expirences issues and needs to be restored to an earlier date, the site can be rolled back.
*Free daily backups cannot be guaranteed if the site is not hosted by servers managed by Measured Designs, but we'll endeavour to work with your current hosts to set this up.

DOES NOT INCLUDE

Anything deemed to be development work. These will be charged at our standard hourly rate. Please read our Magento Maintenance Terms.

Functionality / development work

New functionality or development work, deployment of backups, content or SEO work, manual theme and plugin updates and third party license renewals are not covered by the maintenance plan.

Magento core version updates

Magento core version updates and Magento security patch installation can potentially introduce styling and functionality issues, that will need testing and debugging.

Manual theme & plugin updates

Automatic composer plugins are covered by the maintenance service. Unfortunately themes & plugins that require a manual FTP update take a bit more time so will be charged as development work.
