Enterprise West Essex in Harlow is one of thirteen new enterprise Zones announced by the government yesterday. The 126-acre new MedTech Campus will support the growth of high-tech and medical technology companies and could provide one in ten jobs in the area (estimates Harlow Council).

Prime Minister David Cameron in a BBC interview said: “We are determined to do everything we can to make Britain the best place in the world to start and grow a business.

“Enterprise zones are a major step towards delivering this – cutting business taxes, easing planning restrictions and giving business the tools they need to invest and expand.”

Companies settling in an Enterprise Zone will benefit from;

  • simplified planning process
  • superfast broadband access
  • relief from business rates (in some cases)

Although not based in Harlow, we have Essex web design clients in neighbouring; Epping (SunVitD3), Brentwood (The Pet Shop) and Chelmsford (Time To Run).
